Day 1    Arrive Hanoi

Upon arrival in Hanoi Airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked Hotel. Day 2    Hanoi – Lao Cai (By Overnight Train)


Today enjoy a full day city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday & Friday), the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh‘s house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the impressive Ethnologic Museum, the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword.

Day 3    Lao Cai – Ethnic markets – Sapa (Drive)


Arrive in Lao Cai in the early morning. After breakfast, you will travel by car to one of the famous markets here where you can meet many ethnic minorities such as Flower Hmong, Black Dao, Phu La, Tay, Nung ...These markets gather only one time per week and they offer its variety of local products, which could not be found in others areas (Bac Ha market & Muong Hum market on Sundays, Coc Ly market on Tuesdays, Lung Khau Nhin market on Thursdays & Can Cau markets on Saturdays only).
After the visit to market, we will drive to Sapa for hotel’s check in.

Day 4    Sapa – Lao Cai (Drive) Lao Cai – Hanoi (By Overnight Train)

Today we visit scenic villages Ta Van of Zay hill tribe people and Lao Chai of Black H’mong people, where we will enjoy a walk and discover the traditional lifestyle of welcoming people who are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language. Zay women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are build of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. Black H’mong women wear traditional indigo blue clothing.
Late afternoon transfer to the Lao Cai Station for an overnight train to Hanoi.

Day 5    Hanoi – Ha Long (Drive)


Early morning pick-up at Hanoi Railway Station. After having breakfast, overland to Ha Long Bay (165 km), the most wonderful scenic sight of Vietnam, the World Natural Heritage Site with over 3000 limestone islands and islets rising fantastically from the clear and emerald water. Board a traditional-style wooden junk to travel around this magnificent landscape visiting its amazing grottoes and caves. We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

Day 3                Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Flight to Hanoi
This morning, we will visit Tonle Sap floating village as school, crocodile and fish farm. You will find out about daily life of people on lake. The Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and is an ecological hot spot that was designated as a UNESCO biosphere in 1997.

The Tonle Sap is unusual for two reasons: its flow changes direction twice a year, and the portion that forms the lake expands and shrinks dramatically with the seasons. From November to May, Cambodia's dry season, the Tonle Sap drains into the Mekong River at Phnom Penh. However, when the year's heavy rains begin in June, the Tonle Sap backs up to form an enormous lake.

Visit Artisan d' angkor & silk farm, the place are in the Ministry of Education was constructed in 1992 and this place renowned woodworking, stone carving and polychrome training center and workshops. Day 6                Hue – Hoi An

Day 8                 Saigon – Cai Be floating market – Saigon
Today, we continue our Vietnam travel with the interesting visit to Cai be floating market.
6am : Pick up at your hotel in HCMC. Depart for Cai Be by private ca, stop to take photos in Tan An town overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields. On arrival in Cai Be, set off by motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels. Then wander into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation. Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village, the green pearl of Vinh Long town, where you can immerse yourself in nature. This morning, we drive to visit Cu Chi tunnels, en route to visit the bustling market at Thu Dao Mot. Upon arrival in Cu Chi, we visit the incredible underground tunnel network of approximately 200 kilometres hand-constructed by Vietnamese guerillas and was the military base of the North Vietnamese Army during the US-Vietnam war. We start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 863210) – our meeting point.Hoi An Cookingg Class
Visit Hoi An’s colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

Pick up by private car back to Sapa and free at leisure. In the afternoon you have free time to discover Sapa town before take the trannsfer to Laocai train station for night train to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Cruise

 Pick up from the train station, this morning, we have already arranged a room in a mini hotel for you to have shower and breakfast before driving to Halong Bay (165km), Vietnam most scenic sight, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site and highlight of any Vietnam Tours.

11:30: Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.

12:15: Transfer by tender to the Indochina Sails boat – enjoy Welcome Drink. Receive cruise briefing and check in to cabins and begin cruise.

13:00: Lunch - deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu.

Massage service is available beginning after lunch and throughout the cruise.

14.30: Arrive at Titop Island. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach and climbing the steps to the top of the mountain on the island for fantastic views and photo opportunities. Water and towels supplied. We will spend about 45 minutes on the island.

15.15: Transfer back to the boat and sail for approximately 45 minutes to our second destination - the Bat Cave area.

16.15: Arrive at the Bat Cave area. There are two programs to choose from at this time. One option is a 40 minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters. Kayaking is $10. per person unless already booked as part of your package. Water is supplied.

The second option is to visit the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay. We will travel to the village on the tender and tour the village for approximately 20 minutes.

18:30: Arrive at Luon Bo area - anchor for overnight.

19:00: Dinner - deluxe Vietnamese & Western Buffet or Set Menu Dinner.

20:30: Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board games and playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew, massage services are available. Also at this time we offer, when possible - depending on weather conditions, an excursion to a nearby squid fishing boat. We travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local fishermen catch squid and other fish, the excursion lasts about 45 minutes.

21:00 – 23:00: Happy Hour! Buy one drink - get one free (wine excluded). End of program for Day One. Overnight on board

Day 6: Halong Bay - Hanoi

 6:45: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.

7:00: Arrive at the Surprise Cave area; there is a small fishing village here. Relax onboard. You may join Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck at 7:00, duraion about 30 minutes.

8:00: Transfer by tender to the Surprise Cave. Walk up the 100 steps to the entrance of the cave and tour on foot for approximately 45 minutes.

9:00: Upon return to the boat take time to freshen up and please check-out of cabins. Please leave heavy luggage outside of the cabins (staff will transfer to the pier). Depart for Bai Chay/Halong pier.

9:30: Enjoy Breakfast Set Menu or Buffet served in the dining room. Settle bills in the dining room after breakfast.

10:00: Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room and enjoy the bay scenery as we approach the pier.

10:45: Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.

11:00: Transfer by tender to the pier, where Vivutravel's private guide and driver are waiting for the transfer back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 1: Yangon arrival (G)

Welcome to Yangon, the capital of Myanmar – the land of Golden Pagoda. Our tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check in procedure. For the first day in Yangon, you’re free to do anything like relaxing at the hotel or walking around the city for an excursion. Stay overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon – City tour (B/L) (G)

Today will be your real journey to the city. After breakfast, we will explore the beauty of Yangon by visiting its prominent sites like 2,500-year-old Golden Sule Pagoda, City Hall and Emmanuel Church, also known as Emmanuel Baptist Church, a beautiful white church with two high towers. End the morning in the most prominent site, Shwedagon pagoda – The Golden Pagoda. Awe struck with its golden color, giant spires and holy atmosphere inside. Enjoy lunch in local restaurants. Then proceed to the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha Image with the craving of the Buddha life on foots. Afterward, walk along the Kandawgyi Lake; enjoy the cool wind and the poetry of the lake. Day 3: Yangon – Mandalay – Amarapura – Mandalay (B/L) (G)

Free at leisure in the morning. At noon, a flight will take you to our next destination Mandalay, the second-largest city of Myanmar. Local guide will welcome you at the airport before transfer to the hotel for check-in. Afternoon, we have a city tour around the city with Amarapura, one of the three ancient capitals of Ancient Burma. Then walk on the 200-year-old teak bridge U Bein which is across the Taungthman Lake. Enjoying the site of the town in Amarapura before coming back to Mandalay. Enjoy sunset in Mandalay. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.

Day 4: Mandalay (B/L) (G)

After breakfast, we will begin our adventure to explore the beauty of Mandalay. The first name is Mahamuni Pagoda where you can see its bronze Buddha statue. Then proceed to Golden Palace Monastery, enjoy its wood carvings and Kuthodaw Pagoda which holds the world’s largest book. In the afternoon, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before take a short break. Afterward, continue our trip by visiting the Mandalay Palace & Fort, Shwenandaw Kyaung – an old monastery with the stories of Buddha. Meet the monk and listen to their story about Buddha and let them bless you.

Day 5: Mandalay – Bagan (B/L) (G)

Drive to Sagaing Jetty for a one-night cruise to Bagan. Enjoy the beauty of Irrawaddy River with the sound of river life and the specific creatures, the Irrawaddy Dolphin. Enjoy delicious meals on board. Afternoon, stop at Yandabo Village, peek into is pottery workshop and witness the making process of this unique product. Then visit a monastery and a primary school. Stay overnight on the boat near Shwe Nann Tint Village.

Day 6: Bagan (B/L) (G)

Morning, we will arrive in Bagan. After check – in, we will have free time for exploring the town and enjoying the sunset on the land of Buddhist monuments by horse-cart. Stay overnight in Bagan.

Day 7: Bagan – Hot air balloon (B/L) (G)

Today will be an interesting day. We will explore Bagan from the sky. A colorful balloon will slowly take you to anyplace in Bagan. The huge temples are reduced to a small model and the whole view of Bagan will be in your eyes. At noon, we will land for lunch at a nice local restaurant. The rest of the day, you will be free at leisure and enjoy traditional Burmese style massage. Stay overnight in Bagan.

Day 8: Bagan (B/L) (G)

Let get up early and enjoy the first sun ray of the sunrise in Bagan. After early breakfast, we will proceed to Bagan Tower for enjoying sunrise view. Then cycle around the temples and beautiful villages of Bagan. Stop at the village of Myinkaba, meet the local and experience their life. Peek into their local market, buy souvenirs and feel the bustling atmosphere of an Asia market. Afterward, move to Myazedi Pagoda; enjoy its unique architectural style. Then visit Manuha village, witness the peanut oils and cigars workshop. Having lunch in a local restaurant before taking in a boat trip on the great Irrawaddy River for visiting Kyauk Kuu Umin and enjoying the sunset on this beautiful river. Stay overnight in Bagan.

Day 9: Bagan – Inle Lake (B/L) (G)

Say good bye to the people and masterpieces in Bagan in the morning. We will fly to Inle Lake for a new journey. Upon arrival, we will check in the hotel and have lunch after a short break. Afternoon, a boat will take you around the lake, enjoy the unique leg-rower and fishing boat before proceed to Nampan Village to visit its floating garden. Enjoying sunset on Inle Lake while the boat taking you back to the hotel. Stay overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 10: Inle Lake (B/L) (G)

After breakfast, we will visit Indein Village which peacefully lies in the westernmost part of the Inle Lake. Meet the local and experience the life in the rural area. In the afternoon, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Then visit the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda on the Inle Lake. If you are lucky, you can witness the most interesting and special festival of this pagoda when the Buddha statues will travel around the Lake by many traditional boats and rowers. Leave the Phaung Daw Oo, we continue to the Nga Phe Chaung Monastery which is famous for its jumping cats trained by the monks. End the day under the sunset of Inle Lake before coming back to the hotel. Stay overnight in Inle Lake.
